Refund policy

We want you to love your WearHanfu order. Please read this policy carefully before purchasing — by placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

1. Cancellations You may cancel your order for a full refund if you contact us at support@wearhanfu.com within 2 hours of placing it, before it enters processing. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it can no longer be cancelled.

2. Returns Because our garments are shipped internationally from a limited production run, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind, incorrect size or color selected by the customer, or general wear and tear. Sale or discounted items, and accessories, are final sale.

We will review return requests on a case-by-case basis for genuine quality issues — contact us with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue, and we'll let you know if your case qualifies.

3. Sizing Please check our size chart carefully before ordering, as hanfu sizing differs from standard Western sizing. If an item doesn't fit, we're unable to offer a free return or exchange, but we do offer a replacement in the correct size for 50% of the item's price plus shipping (customs duties, if any, remain the customer's responsibility). Contact us to arrange this.

4. Quality Issues & Minor Defects Handmade and embroidered garments can occasionally have minor imperfections — loose threads, small stitching irregularities, or shipping wrinkles (which usually steam or iron out) are not considered defects. If your item arrives with a genuine quality issue or damage:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue and the packaging.
  • For minor, repairable issues, we'll offer store credit or a coupon.
  • For significant defects that make the item unusable, we'll send a replacement or issue a refund.

5. Delivery Issues No refund will be issued if: delivery is refused for reasons other than damage; the courier attempts delivery but the recipient is unavailable and the parcel goes unclaimed; the shipping address provided was incomplete or incorrect; or the carrier confirms delivery but the parcel cannot be located (please check with neighbors, building management, or your local post office first — choosing express shipping with signature confirmation is recommended for valuable orders).

If tracking shows no movement and your order has not arrived within 30 business days of shipping (excluding customs or weather delays), contact us for a refund or replacement.

6. Approved Returns If we approve a return, the item must be unused, unworn, and in its original packaging. We'll provide a return address by email — please don't ship to the address on the original parcel label. Use a trackable shipping service and share the tracking number with us; we're not responsible for return parcels lost in transit. Return shipping costs are paid by the customer unless the return is due to our error.

7. Refund Processing Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 3–5 business days of approval; your bank or card provider may take a few additional days to post the funds. If you don't see your refund after that window, please check your statement and contact your bank before reaching out to us.
